DTG & the GDPR

The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is keeping all companies with a website on their toes – and not only in Germany. Us too. The GDPR is a European Union regulation that is designed to unify the rules for the processing of personal data by private companies and public authorities throughout the EU – according to Wikipedia.

It all sounds well and good. It makes sense too, but it hides an endless number of snares and stumbling blocks, which have not only meant that we have had to appoint a data protection officer, but we have had to make a number of updates on, to and in the background of our website www.dtg-eg.de as well. In actual fact, only a few points had to be implemented, but this had to be done.

As a user, you won’t notice any difference. And it does not have any effect on use. It simply works now, the way the European Union wants it to work.
