When we received a call for help from Anita Blinten, who heads up an organisation that provides help to children and families in Krefeld, we didn’t take long to react. Together with the ships’ equipment supplier Wittig GmbH, we organised a donation of 20 packets of toilet paper.
For days on end there was no more toilet paper to be found in the area, a situation caused by the puzzling phenomenon of mass panic buying. As a result, supplies in the children’s home were getting low.
Both the company WITTIG and ourselves hope that we were able to help the 50 children in the home. Above all, we hope that all the children remain healthy during this crisis.
“Let man be a noble creature, helpful and good to others, because this alone
differentiates man from all other beings that we know”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
We would like to take you into the New Year with this quotation and the reminder that only humans have the possibility to do so many noble things: to question our actions in a responsible manner; to correct wrongdoing; to show compassion; to not selfishly exploit weakness, but to utilize our strengths for the benefit of others.
The whole DTG-Team and our colleagues from ARNO-Ship would like to thank you for your support and cooperation in the past year. We wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and look forward to continuing our relationship as fair partners in 2020.
As in previous years, we are once again supporting two charitable organisations this year, instead of sending out presents. The volunteers of the Hamburger Spendenparlament help to distribute charitable donations fairly to a number of charities. The Bunter Kreis Duisburg e.V. helps to provide care and support to seriously ill children and their families.
As part of the planned closure of the TGB, we are closing our branch office in Andernach as of 31.12.2019.
Oliver Keip will continue working for the DTG.
His new telephone number is: +49 2 03 | 8 00 04-25
His mobile number, his fax number and his email address will remain the same.
Marion Marino is going into well-deserved retirement. We would like to express our thanks for her twenty-plus years of service and wish her all the best for the future.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Monika Gruchala (39) as a full-time member of our accounts department as of 04.11.2019. She will look after all the office tasks involved with our accounts department and will also be responsible for supporting our members.
Monika Gruchala can be reached under:
+49 2 03 | 8 00 04-58
We look forward to working well together.
With effect from 01.07.2019, Tobias Engels has been granted the authority to represent our company in legal transactions.
Tobias Engels, who is 38 years old, started as a trainee at the then Haniel Reederei GmbH in Duisburg from 1998 to 2001. After leaving the successor company, he has proved himself as a dispatcher and customer service representative, earning an excellent reputation in the industry.
For the last five years, he has been responsible for the DTG office in Andernach. In this role, he looks after our members south of Cologne and our business in southern Germany.
With this appointment we would like to thank Tobias Engels for his dedication to the company.
Once again DTG was able to present itself at the 17th international trade show for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. At this year’s show there were over 2,000 exhibitors and more than 60,000 people attending.
For DTG the trade show was a resounding success.
As in previous years, we were able to present ourselves as a co-exhibitor on the exhibition stand of duisport. EWT was also represented on the stand. Through the high volume of visitors to the stand, we were able to meet with over 70 customers and speak with many other people interested in our services. The conversations covered wide-ranging topics, with many of them providing exciting potential for the future.
We are already looking forward to participating in the next transport logistic trade show, which takes place from 4th to 7th May 2021.
Europe’s largest youth sports festival will soon enter the third round and will take place from 20th to 23rd of June 2019 at the Landschaftspark Duisburg Nord.
Visitors can expect a unique mix of sports competitions, shows, musical acts, street art, trend sports, virtual reality, workshops, international youth exchange and much more.
We are very happy to be a part of this event and are looking forward to an exciting Ruhr Games 2019!
When DTG decided over the last few years to expand its fleet to include new member companies, we realised we had to do something to improve our communication with those members, whose mother tongue is not German. To this end, we have negotiated an agreement with the company, which represents us in Stettin.
Mrs Adriana Wroblewska,
has been employed by our representative in Stettin since 2007 and will now provide us with valuable support in our communications with our Polish-speaking members.
You can reach Mrs Wroblewska as follows:

We are looking forward to a strong, communicative partnership.
“The biggest mistake one can ever make in life is to be continuously afraid of making mistakes.”
In this light, after a year that was extraordinary in many respects, let us face the challenges together with courage and confidence and take advantage of the opportunities that the new year holds for us.
All members of the DTG Team and our colleagues at ARNO-Ship would like to thank you for the trust you placed in us last year and are looking forward to a strong working relationship in 2019.
On 2 January 2019 we welcomed Ms Wiete Lukkezen (32) to our Disposition Team in Duisburg.
After completing her training to become a skipper on an inland waterway vessel, Ms Lukkezen worked for several years at the helm of such vessels before trading in her captain’s chair for an office chair in 2014.
With her training and experience, Ms Lukkezen is a knowledgeable partner for both our customers and our members. Providing support to Tobias Engels and House Andernach is the focus of her role.
We wish Ms Lukkezen all the best in her new position and look forward to working successfully with her.
